BOARD OF TRUSTEES REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 11, 2024
The Board of Trustees of the Hennessey Utilities Authority met in regular session at 6:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024. The meeting was held in the Council Room of the Town Hall Complex located at 123 S. Main, Hennessey, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma.
Mayor Clif Vogt called the meeting to order at 6:49 p.m. Trustees David Jones, Harold Shaw, Bert Gritz, and Randy Bohnstedt answered roll call. Others at the council table were Town Clerk, Kelley Vaverka, Town Treasurer, Shelley Burch, and Town Administrator, Tiffany Tillman. Also attending the meeting was Jack Quirk, Angie Bruner, Barb Walter, and Jackie Smith.
APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA WHICH INCLUDES THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING AND CLAIMS TO BE PAID
Motion by Shaw, seconded by Bohnstedt to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried 5 YES

DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION TO ACCEPT THE FY 24 REAP GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $160,000.00 FOR MITCHELL RD WATERLINE SIZE INCREASE/REPLACEMENT.
Motion by Bohnstedt, seconded by Shaw to accept the FY REAP Grant in the amount of $160,000.00 for the Mitchell Rd waterline size increase/replacement. Motion carried 5 YES

DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE ADDING A CHARGE FOR DAMAGED OR DESTROYED AMR WATER METER CAPS, ANTENNA, TRANSMITTER, WIRING, PARTS, OR LID OR AUTOMATED WATER METERS.
Motion by Bohnstedt, seconded by Shaw to approve adding a charge for damaged or destroyed AMR water meter caps, antenna, transmitter, wiring, parts, or lid or automated water meters. Motion carried 5 YES

DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE A DRAFT POLICY TO ENCOURAGE CITIZENS TO DRIP WATER DURING EXTENDED DAYS OF SUB FREEZING TEMPERATURES.
No Board action taken. Jack will print on the All About Hennessey page and flyers will be posted around town.

The Board of Trustees of the Town of Hennessey met in special session at 11:45 A.M. on March 27, 2024. The meeting was held in the Council Room of the Town Hall Complex located at 123 S. Main, Hennessey, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma.
Mayor Cliff Vogt called the meeting to order at 12:07 P.M. Trustees Harold Shaw, Bert Gritz and Dave Jones answered roll call. Randy Bohnstedt was absent. Others at the council table were Town Treasurer Shelley Burch, Kelley Vaverka, Town Clerk and Town Administrator Tiffany Tillman. Also attending the meeting was Angie Bruner and Barb Walter.
DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION TO CHANGE THE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING DAY TO HAVE THE TOWN ATTORNEY PRESENT AT THE MEETINGS.
Discussion included moving the meetings to the second Tuesday of the month. There currently is a conflict with the clerk’s work schedule.
Motion by Gritz, seconded by Shaw to recess the meeting and reconvene next Tuesday, April 2 at 11:45 A.M to allow the clerk to speak with her employer. Motion carried 4 YES.

The Board of Trustees of the Town of Hennessey met in special session at 11:52 A.M. on April 2, 2024. The meeting was held in the Council Room of the Town Hall Complex located at 123 S. Main, Hennessey, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma.
Mayor Cliff Vogt called the meeting to order at 11:45 A.M. Trustees Harold Shaw, Bert Gritz and Dave Jones and Randy Bohnstedt answered roll call. Others at the council table were Town Treasurer Shelley Burch, and Kelley Vaverka, Town Clerk. Also attending the meeting was Jack Quirk and Barb Walter.
DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION TO CHANGE THE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING DAY TO HAVE THE TOWN ATTORNEY PRESENT AT THE MEETINGS.
The Clerk reported that her employer is willing to allow her to be off work for the new meeting date in discussion.
Motion by Bohnstedt, seconded by Shaw to move the Town Trustee meeting to the 2nd Tuesdays of the month at 6:00 P.M. Motion carried 5 Yes
