BOARD OF TRUSTEES REGULAR MEETING
JULY 13, 2023
The Board of Trustees of the Town of Hennessey met in regular session at 6:00 p.m. on July 13, 2023. The meeting was held in the Council Room of the Town Hall Complex located at 123 S. Main, Hennessey, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma.
Mayor Clif Vogt called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Trustees David Jones, Harold Shaw, Bert Gritz, and Randy Bohnstedt answered roll call. Others at the council table were Town Treasurer Shelley Burch, Kelley Vaverka, Town Clerk and Interim Town Administrator David Treanor. Also attending the meeting was Jack Quirk, Barb Walter, Mick Dodson, Macy Gleason, Frank Crawford, Denise Meloy, Bryan Burch, Tony Blackburn, and Sharon Pollard.

No report. The board has suspended meetings during the summer.

Motion by Vogt, seconded by Bohnstedt to have Shelley check on rates on the CDs and report to the Trustees.

DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE FOOD TRUCK ORDINANCE WITH CHANGES AS PREPARED BY THE TOWN ATTORNEY.
Motion by Bohnstedt, seconded by Vogt to approve the food truck ordinance with changes in section 5.d. from 100’ to 200’; section 6.b. to add “within city limits”; and section 7 to read “daily fee of $50 with the annual fee being $250.
Motion carried 5 YES.

EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO TITLE 25, O.S. SECTION 307(B)(1) TO A) DISCUSS APPLICATIONS RECEIVED FOR THE TOWN ADMINISTRATOR POSITION, B) CHANGE KOLTON SHAW FROM TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT FULL TIME STATUS IN THE STREET, PARKS, AND WATER DEPARTMENT, AND C) RETURN DAVID TREANOR TO THE HOURLY WAGE AND DUTIES THAT WERE IN PLACE PRIOR TO FEBRUARY 24, 2023.
Motion by Vogt, seconded by Gritz to convene in to executive session. Motion carried 5 YES

Denied. Will continue to seek more applications.
DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE OR DENY CHANGING KOLTON SHAW FROM TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT FULL TIME STATUS IN THE STREET, PARKS, AND CEMETARY DEPARTMENT.
Motion by Bohnstedt, seconded by Vogt to change the employment status of Kolton Shaw from temporary to permanent in the streets, parks, and cemetery department. Motion carried 4 YES

DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION TO ALLOW OKLAHOMA MUNICIPLE MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO EXPAND THE SEARCH FOR TOWN ADMINISTRATOR PER THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S DISCRETION.
Motion by Gritz, seconded by Bohnstedt to expand the search for the town administrator per the executive director’s discretion. Motion carried 5 YES

The Board of Trustees of the Hennessey Utilities Authority met July 13, 2023. The meeting was held in the Town Hall Complex located at 123 S. Main, Kingfisher County, Hennessey, Oklahoma.
Chairman Clif Vogt called the meeting to order at 9:10 p.m. with members David Jones, Randy Bohnstedt Harold Shaw, and Bert Gritz answering roll call. Others present at the council table were Shelley Burch, Town Treasurer, Kelley Vaverka, Town Clerk., and David Treanor, Interim Town Administrator.
Also attending the meeting was Jack Quirk, Barb Walter, Bryan Burch, and Sharon Pollard.

DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE TO PAY UTILITY SERVICE COMPANY $32,656.00 FOR MAINTENANCE ON THE TOWN’S THREE WATER TOWERS.
Motion by Shaw, seconded by Gritz to pay Utility Service Company $32,656.00 for maintenance on the town’s three water towers. Moton carried 5 YES.
